Tangerine and Jade
Tangerine & Jade began with a mother’s desire to see her child’s world reflected in the stories he reads. What started as one book created for my own child grew into something much bigger. I wanted my son to see the foods he enjoyed, the experiences he shared with our family, and the everyday moments that shaped his life reflected in a way that felt familiar and meaningful. I wanted him to open a book and feel connected—to know that his experiences mattered.
As more families shared that same desire, Tangerine & Jade grew into a collection of stories celebrating the moments, memories, and details that make each child’s world unique. From the beginning, the mission has been to create products that help children feel seen, celebrated, and proud of who they are.
But our story didn’t stop at books.
As my little ones grew, I noticed how the everyday things they loved became part of their stories—the foods they talked about, the memories they shared, and the discoveries that brought them joy. They love french fries and chicken nuggets, but they also love their scallion pancakes, rambutan, and kathiew—foods that connect them to family, culture, and home.
Those everyday moments reminded me that the things children love—the flavors, experiences, and memories that make up their world—deserve to be celebrated.
Today, Tangerine & Jade is a family-run creative company built on storytelling, imagination, and connection. My little ones are part of the creative process, sharing their ideas and helping inspire the details behind what we create. Together, we work behind the scenes to bring each piece to life. Through books, play, apparel and thoughtfully designed products, we celebrate the stories children carry with them—their curiosities, their memories, and the everyday moments that help shape who they are.
